When I've looked into this, Rouke has always been near the top of my list. Nice frames, nice tubing options, and nice prices.
If you just want OTP. There are loads of options in a nice 853.
......or even 853 with carbon stays and forks.

Anything else i should be looking at?
Dumping most of your short list so you're not paying IF and GeekHouse hipster tax! !! .. what about Serotta or Baum to add to Hampsten
Ultimately my choice would be a UK builder so I could go see them with my custom fitting geometry and discuss face to face etc ..

I'm not really sure why you'd drop +£1k on something like an otp GeekHouse road frame, when you could have something built by someone with a lifetime of experience who you can meet and discuss with in the UK.
But on the foreign list I'd add Pegoretti, he smashes IF and GH on the bling stakes....
...and in that price bracket if you're just after a road frame go carbon and get a LOOK.

Hi all
I'm looking to get a quality steel frame for touring. Something light but strong.
Is like the frame to be:
- thin tubes not wide as light as possible (being steel)
- must have eyelets for rack and mudguards
- relaxed geometry comfort over speed but I don't want to be a snail either!
- handmade in England or at least not mass produced very reputable
- built to last - basically I just want one frame for life
I'm wondering what brands and models I should be looking for?
Ideally something used but can't seem to find anything my size (I'm 5'8") in good condition. Otherwise new but hopefully accessible in London.
Cheers in advance

I'm in the market for a new road frame, none of this carbon shit though.
Already shortlisted Indy Fab, Geekhouse and Hampsten. Anything else i should be looking at?
