how many rolls of duck tape do you think it would take to fasten a bike to a sheffield stand so it was completely attached and needed to all be removed before the bike came free?
bet 20 rolls would outlast 5 minutes.

problem is it would take 20 mins to apply all of the tape and the thief could have it away in 5
ideally a bike theft device would take longer for thiefy to undo as it does to lock up -

may work if you are a courier and only spent a few minutes inside the drop location

From the linky
"Bikes have always been targets for thieves. Cyclists are more likely to have their bikes stolen than motorcyclists or car owners."
Spacemen are more likely to have their spaceships stolen than motorcyclists or car owners too.
As a fellow pedant I am concerned about the theft incidence of spaceships for spacewomen. There must be some reason why a self confessed pedant introduces a previously unmentioned factor such as gender.

good find. a new way to pass time at work - I would think that after 6 months of locking my mates bike up with new inventions I could be in with a chance.
This may interest some:
