They were banned from competition so became the choice of clown riders worldwide.
Can't see why you couldn't train on one, we've had Lo pros on bomo.
Someone much wiser and funnier than me will come along shortly. -

when oh when is someone going to start production of kids size track bikes?
the 45s that Dolan make are good, but too big for the 8 year olds parents that are seeking a track bike,
islabikes have quit making the smallest size-
seriously folks, theres a shit load to be made given the amount of requests were getting. -

We have the same problem at our club grass track since Islabikes stopped making the reiss. We set up this to try and persuade them to fire up production again.

I remember Ben Swift and Adam Blythe used to ride some small-wheeled Kevin Winter trackbikes, when I was a lad.
From what I can find, KW also built high-end frames to Paul Donohue and a few other North-Eastern companies but I've seen a few 650c builds.

The Islabikes are very good. Seems a bit mad to have a whole Facebook page to nag Islabikes. I'm sure they can just keep a log of interest and order the bikes once they hit 150.
Anyway I'll pass it on to a few clubs I know were keen.
Also from that page... "Thanks to Welwyn Wheelers for an email received just now showing their support! As a indication of the huge rise in interest, I believe Saturday's track induction session at Welwyn had 70 (!) novices riding track bikes for the first time..."

Good show posters.
The 43s may be worth a punt.
r.e Welwyn got me curious now, is that number adults?
Bournemouth had 66 kids last sat for track, 17 who owned their own bike, hence me.banging.on about.it earlier. -

Almost certainly kids.

It was a mixture of ages. My daughter was there, age 9, but in a group with older children and an adult as people were grouped by track experience and she had some, but not a lot.

You may recognise this then as it used to belong to Ben...

Dolan make the 650 wheeled, 39cm framed Cadet I think it's called. We have 15 of them in the hire fleet at the Sir Chris Hoy 'drome in Glasgow.
They do seem pretty heavy compared to the 45cm Pre Cursas though.
Just built up my pursuit with a 650 wheel on the front - And I was totally unaware that you can't take it on an indoor Velodrome..
Anyone confirm this??
