Now I'm confused. I'm 175 (5' 9" in old money) and I reckon correct size for me is 54 c-c and figured this frame would be a gnats too small.

mmmh i'm about 174cm and i have a 55cm bianchi. it fits just about right but i used to ride a 53cm frame and that was fine too. probably manufacturer dependent? anyways supposedly this frame is too big for me?

My gut feeling is it would probably be spot on for you assuming 'normal' proportions. According to an online bike fit calculator I need 54 seat tube and 55 top tube based on my proportions (c-c).

I'm 174cm and have a Colnago with a 54cm c-t-c top tube and it is the perfect size for me.

man, why do all these nice frames and bikes come up when i have just spent a load of money grrrrrrrrr
