Myself (Dan) and my girlfriend Sarah are looking for a new place to live. At the end of the month our tenancy will end, and the 2 girls we live with are moving away. We're not entirely happy with our current location so rather than stay and find new flatmates, we're looking for one of two things:
**1. A room in a bike friendly house share
First scenario is obviously ideal as it saves a lot of effort but we understand that things don't always work out easy, so we're keeping ourselves open to other options.
The house:
Something clean and spacious enough for ourselves and the 3 bikes we have between us. Ideally we'd like somewhere with a garden, and south of the river, though we're flexible on this. Social space is important, we want to chill out in communal areas not hide in our room!
The people:
Not fussed if you're a student or professional, so long as you're clean, responsible and wanting to make home an enjoyable place to be. Sharing an interest in cycling, culture, food and coffee would be perfect. We like to cook and eat communally once or twice a week, so it would be great if you get involved in that.
Us:
My name is Dan, I study photography at LCC, sell my work though a small gallery and also work in a bike shop. You can see some of my photographic work here, and probably learn far too much about me from the images. Besides this I obviously enjoy cycling, and tend to stealthily enjoy a crabon-lycra burst when the weathers good. I also climb (normally at the arch, though I've had a bit of a break the last few months), and enjoy good coffee. I'm also vegetarian but not one of those freaky ones that always tries to convert you.
Sarah recently finished her masters in social anthropology and now works full time at LSE. She's Spanish/Dutch (but mostly Catalan), more literary than me but we still enjoy cycling together, preferably discovering new places in the countryside. She loves gardening, particularly growing veggies (which we both miss from the last place we lived), and also travelling.
Officially we're moving out on the 6th but we're happy to move before this for the right place / the right people. If you're looking for a new place or have a room to fill then get in touch!
