• I witnessed an accident this morning; a rider was filtering on the left hand side of traffic and a passenger door opened.

The driver, a witness and I all stopped, exchanged details and called for an ambulance. The Parks Police also attended. The rider and the police have witness details and I directed the rider to our "what to do in an accident page"

The rider might have hurt his arm/leg but will be fine.

(His lovely new high spec road bike did endure some damage)

  • Arvy - what were you doing lapping Regents Park?

    You do know training's cheating?

  • Which edge of the park?
There seem to have been a lot of incidents in this area in recent weeks.

  • South East corner (turning left as you head up towards Parkway) or the end closest to Great Portland St tube

And Mikey I will respond to you in another area of the forum more appropriate for such responses

  • Thanks Arvy, that's the same area as the incident reported on 21/05/12.

  • That corner can be sketchy when you're doing laps. Lots to keep your eye on. Heal soon rider. And bike. And drivers car door for that matter.

  • I hope the drivers door costs them a fortune, takes ages to be repaired and the colour does not match.

    Hope the cyclists recovers quickly.
