  • London's couriers and the LCEF have won the very great honour this year of holding the pre-event to the ECMC (European Cycle Messenger Championshps) 2012 held this year in Edinburgh.

We put an open invite out every year to come along to London's Calling for 3 days of racing, parties, bike shennanigans and some gentle imbibing - this year we've got the cream of Europe's racing elite joining us for the weekend so come along and have some jolly good fun and help represent the London Massive by rocking up, looking cool and getting down.

All the info is here http://londonscalling2012.com/ and you'd be welcome to register for the whole weekend but we'd especially like to invite you to come along to the Saturday night party being held in the beautiful Limehouse Town Hall - we've got loads of bands (including uber fakengers Ricki Fredo and the Fabulous Fucktones) DJ's, bike films, cheap bar and cocktails - it's all go.

    Come out! All welcome..

  • Looks rubbish!

    ;]

  • Hope to get a new 'LIVE RIGHT' wrist band for better karma

  • Looks rubbish!

Yeah. London Calling 4 was pretty dull. Especially that party on Friday night. I have literally no memory of having any fun times*

*mnbt - my memory of Friday night is hazy but I do remember larking about at the Macbeth with a fairly silly grin on my chops!

  • You can win a foffa!!

  • You can win a frame from Brother Cycles!

  • Silly question but anyone from the forum going to this? I have two guys staying with me so I guess I will

    Zebs

  • 0 sleeps left!

  • Looking forward to it

  • i'm claiming top Fakenger spot, :-)
    16 checkpoints (3 whole manifests)

  • went up to Primrose Hill after 6pm (it started at 4pm), for fun, as nobody was left there, will know for next time, once time is up, time to go to the finish,

the winning messenger didn't even complete all five manifests (missing one checkpoint),

    very enjoyable alleycat,

highlight was (almost) keeping pace with Lucas Brunelle between Lincoln's Inn Fields and Hertford Street, and then the Peter Pan statue in Hyde Park - must have featured on his legendary helmet cam, :-)

  • I didn't see this thread earlier and didn't realise the Flouncetones were playing, or I would have come down earlier from the Nocturne. Shame to miss them playing, but good to see everybody afterwards.

  • like it, but can we have another edit, with soundtrack please?! (Lucas Brunelle - London's Calling classic style)
this video is a little too much like real-time!

  • Great organisation, thanks for my prizes and good luck with the ride guys!! For once, I'm glad I have to work...

  • How did you and lollaz do on the rollas in the end Jess?

  • Lola first, me second with an awful time...I have injury ;)

  • ^ Nice one, well done!

I had such a great weekend of London's Calling madness. Big thanks to everyone involved for putting on such a great event. Can't wait for next years!

  • Nice one Jess and Lola!

Gutted to have missed this year's AND Nocturne nonsense, easily two of my most favourite bicycle events of the year!

  • Missed this too. At a cycling conference in Leicester
    Any T-shirts left?

  • Great weekend...It was nice to see more non-couriers mixing with those scary real couriers this time! :]
Great rola performances from Lola and Jess!

Tibbs....I heard that someone found your contact lens when they were clearing up on Saturday night! ;]
