  • Can you give me the exact measurement of the top tube and seat tube (if they aren't both 55cm)?

  • They are both 57cm. Cheers

  • Are those measurements c-c for both?

  • That's correct. Thanks

  • CAAD7 Saeco build pictures + more frameset shots.

    Cheers.

  • oh righty
tis a bit far if truth be told for a viewing
i have a caad 3 which is due to get DA gruppo added shortly, have been thinking about upgrading the frame too, but might stay with it unless i see something very special, as it's a great frame
have a nice caad4 as well see avatar

    good luck with the sale

  • Nice CAAD Dicki. Cheers

  • Sizing Information

I would say that the frameset would suit a rider between 5'10 - 6ft+. I am 6'1 and run quite an aggressive position (see earlier photos).

    Cheers.

Would also consider some sort of swap/part exchange for an Eddy Merckx MX Leader/Corsa Extra in 56/57cm frameset.

  • Outside of a straight cash deal I would also consider some sort of swap/part exchange for an Eddy Merckx MX Leader/Corsa Extra in 56/57cm frameset or any other frameset of similar vintage/quality.

    Cheers.

  • a 55 with 57 tt and st measurements? Really?

I'd love one of these frames, but need a true 55..

... and I actually have 57/57 Corsa Extra too.. shame.

I'm in exactly the same position; my Corsa Extra is just too big for me. I was disappoint when I read this is effectively a 57.

  • Big tease!!

    sent pm re the frame.

  • Looking at the diagram he's measuring the seat tube center to top, and the for the top-tube the virtual.

This isn't how cannondale measure their frames IIRC. Their 'measured size' is seat tube center to center; I'd bet the seat tube and top tube CC measures are 55cm.

Apparently the 7 is the same geo as the CAAD8, so even though they don't make a 55 anymore (phased out in 2004) you can get a good idea of the true size from the 54 and 56 measured sizes.

  • Really appreciate your post Howard. Found something very similar on the WW forum. Thanks again.

  • It's a nice frame. Love the paint. Hope it finds an appreciative owner :)

  • They are both 57cm. Cheers
why do cannondale always fucking do that??

you still haven't used that DA 7800 you STOLE from me???

  • i have been getting the bits together for the upgrade
rear wheel picked up from arup last weekend, was the last bit needed, now time to get mechanicing
due to start in the very near future, possibly this very week

  • 7800 here we come
i am planning on doing a dammit so am on the look out for a nice pair of electronic scales see how much weight i shed and log the parts weights etc
won't be mega weight weenie but the frame and forks are silly light and add a few bits of crabon and i could have a nice roadie ! make that will have

  • when i saw this frame i started to count my €€€
    if it was a 55 (c-c)...
    but i think it's realy a 57 as Daz A said

i know this can't prove that but maybe can help a little.
My pink cannondale is a 54
as you can see (not a perfect science i know) the toptube it's shorter more than 1cm

and trust me, if it was a 55cm i think i had less euros already

  • i looooooooooooooooooove this frame Daz A!
