Old cranks and chainring decided to unbond while on the winter tweed run.
20 cable ties later the bike was working again (for a little bit) -

I love zip ties, I'm sure they can fix pretty much anything.
I also do that with zips when I break them which is often, but possibly my most useful use of zip ties at the moment is forming a chainstay bridge on a bike without one so I can fit full length fenders properly. No pics because the bike is not where I am.
I recently used some (plus old inner tube) to secure my bike to some kind of tripod stand thing I had and make a ghetto work stand.

Pro tip: neaten up sharp edges on cut zip ties by using nail clippers, giving a nice rounded cut end. No more sharp edge.

I've used them bridging between saddle rails to make a purchase point on which a rear LED can clip (aero / not much seatpost available otherwise for pusher-offer).

Great ride, great day, great repair. iirc there was also a lucozade bottle tyre boot used to bridge the blown out sidewall under the gaffa?
And yep, it was Dante, on that note, has anyone seen him lately? I can't recall when I last saw him or his good lady..I mostly use zip ties for attaching cable to lighting truss. Boring, but practical, an old collegue of mine had most of the vital parts of his tree climbing harness held together with zipties after the stitching gave up. Not clever but he seemed to think it was ok.

castration of livestock with zip-tie like devices [past life in a dairy farm]
Not necessarily bike related, pictures preferred, share your incredibly sad zip/cable tie creativity here.
To get the ball rolling, here are my zip-tie-zips. The metal fatigued on the pulling part of my overshoe zips, and they were too fucking fiddly to fasten using only the zip stub. So I improvised:
