aren't there more important issues to take care of first than a logo. Maybe if they had a constitution and this listed aims and objectives this could be used to create a logo which symbolised these… maybe
-
• #7
there are and those are being dealt with slowly but that doesnt mean that we shouldent see if anyone is interested in designing a logo for the UKHBPA
could a mod sticky this until 25th May?
-
• #8
have a competition to write a constitution ;)
-
• #9
ha!

Sandy, the reason it's come about, is ideally I need one for the qualifiers, to put up signs at Newington. I don't need a constitution for that. And as Ben says, the two things are mutually exclusive.
-
• #11
Actually you need to be a constituted group before most councils will give you the time of day, but if they don't ask and you don't tell...
-
• #12
is using a marker to write on a piece of paper not good enough?
-
• #13
If we want to look professional, then not really, no.
-
• #14
lets face it looking professional will take a lot more than a logo…
-
• #15
real constructive there Sandy.

• #16
I guess getting a logo sorted isn't that bad an idea but it just seemed a little weird that I haven't heard anything about what the UKHBPA is planning on doing, it's aims, objectives, how it will help UK polo, meeting minutes etc but they want a logo.
-
• #17
there has been one meeting. there were barely any minutes from this because the main issue was the EQ's aims, objectives and all the rest are being sorted as we speak and will be confirmed from all reps at the next meeting. As for plans and helping UK bike polo (is there a major problem?) Dan was constantly getting all reps opionons on the UK champs.

EQ?
However little was discussed it would be good to have the minutes available.
-
• #19
Euro Qualifiers.
Transparency is one of the things that will be discussed and I'm sure minutes from everything will be available at some point. Ideally once the constitution and everything has been sorted there will be a list of aims, objectives, roles and responsibilities put out for people to see and discuss, the aim is to sort the bulk of this out in Cambridge at the NS tourney, so I'd guess there will be more information released after this.

Good point there sandy, the minutes should be available to all, we will get them up asap.
also, apparently the first meeting was a bit chaotic as everyone was a bit drunk and unfocused, better things to come

UKHPA: Never won a major tourney... ;)
The UKHBPA (UK Hardcourt Bike Polo Association) needs a logo, so we are asking for anyone who is up for it to submit logo design entries to the UKHBPA. Your logo will be used on all future UKHBPA business which hopefully will evolve into a website and various other exciting things in the next few years!
Requirements:
needs to be useable on a letterhead/t-shirt/website
Ideally will work in a monochrome version as well as a colour one
submissions need to be in the original vector image either to: benblausten at gmail dot com or link to them on this thread
deadline May 25th 2012.
The UKHBPA committee will then vote on the logos and announce a winner before the Euro Qualifiers.
