still would like to know which cog is suitable and where I could get one from

Any of those on Andy's thread will fit.
Not the Miche ones though, I want them (:

Any fixed cog will work, but not all lockrings.
You need an ISO threaded lockring (EAI and Campag make good ones, Miche will also work). And of course a Phil lockring from the link above too.

but I've read that you don't get optimum performance with other cogs.
Is this true or is it just a marketing scheme? any past experiences that will shed light on this?http://velospace.org/forums/discussion/2494/cogs-that-will-fit-phil-wood-hubs/

This thread might be worth checking out too. It effectively shows what works.

thanks, that's pretty useful
I have a Phil Wood Hub and I want to install a fixed cog on it.
Which fixed cog I can use with which lockring?
I would appreciate any advise
Cheers
