Wanted: 26.8mm or 26.6mm Seat post

Need a seat post for my new project nothing to fancy just something cheap and in a reasonable condition.

P.s. are you definitely sure on teh size, because i've learnt the hard way about going 0.2 too big/small

I have an unused BLB-branded 26.8 silver alu seat post. As you can see from the pic, branding is subtle. Yours for 7.50 squids. Live near Herne Hill, so collection is easy. Or you could come to Souths drinks tomorrow.

According to my LBS it should take a 26.8mm post....but in his words.... 'use a lot of grease'.

26.4mm and a shim will probably be easier to get hold of

Have you actually tried 26.8 in the frame? A smooth fit much better than a shim.

The frame is not yet in my hands it is with Marxist_fixie however it couldn't originally fit a 26.8mm then he had the inside cleared out and filed and supposedly a 26.8mm should fit but I'm not sure whether to risk it or not.

If you wanted either of my seatposts, I might be able to arrange to meet you, when you do get the frame, and you could see if it fits and buy it if it does?

Yeah sounds good where could you meet, got 6th form in the week so It'll be a struggle to travel around too much...

Also would you prefer the shorter black one or the longer silver one?
