• Hi.

Does anybody know which Chris King BB I need for this set up? Want to try and use the Chain Reaction 12% off so can't check in bike shop.
...or if I can't use one what you'd suggest.

    Cheers

  • As far as I know Chris King only make external bb's - you'll need a square taper bb with a 109-111 spindle length - Campag Centaur gets a lot of praise and is relatively cheap....

If you absolutely must have a pricey bb give me a shout - I've got a new Phil Wood I never fitted.

  • The BB that was in the frame was a Shimano UN54 68-107mm.

If you have a look in the transmission database you may get lucky and find someone is already using that set up. A lot of people seem to be running a Campag Centaur 111mm BB or failing that you can't go wrong with a Sugino 75 BB to match the cranks ;)

  • ^^ I'd go for that Phil though, hehe!

  • Cheers both. Did wonder if I could use a external one or not.

From what I read that Shimano one is pretty good but I fancied going all in on this bike.

  • Also I've PMd you socialabnesia...

  • ^ Good choice ;)
