Blown out again on grounds of age and body image.
This looks like an awesone opportunity. If younger, slimmer and with more time I would have jumped at the chance. It would be great of someone from here got it.

No one fitting that description on here...

Yeah, goddam my overly muscular build.

God damn my broken wrist!!!!!!
This is what I needed to help pay for my new bike

This discriminates against those of us without enthusiasm, aspirations and personality. It's disgusting.
Sorry to hear about the wrist Xander but at least that's only a temporary affliction.

- Not overly muscular, average cyclist build.

That is a bizarre and probably discriminatory criteria. Anyone 'big' would struggle to ride up a hill anyway.

But why does it have to be a male cyclist. I find that really quite off. I mean honestly.

not really, if its a promotion for a company i would imagine that its targeting a certain audience and the main cycling audience that spends money is male, white and between 25 and 45 i would imagine, for better or for worse

Pro cycling is a mans game innit. Still, its terrible for a media company to be pushing such a fixed stereotype. I bet they'd discriminate against a brown person too.

Something must be done

This is a terrific opportunity and a fun project for a fit cyclist that is up for riding different stages of the Tour de France. The film crew will follow the cyclist throughout and it will feel more like a documentary than a clinically filmed advert. Over the short week the cyclists' enthusiasm, aspirations and personality will be highlighted. Sports Castings are involved in many of the sports ads on TV. Please pass the information on this project around to people you know in your cycling circles. "
