Shimano Dura Ace grease is very good, then you'll need a lithium grease and if necessary some carbon assembly paste

What is the difference between dura ace grease and lithium grease, what would be used where?
So for me to use "Cera Tec, Advanced lubricant for car brake systems" on my first decent attempt of overhauling the bearings on my beater may not have been the best choice eh!? ha.

What about teflon grease?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Finish-Line-Teflon-grease-large1-lb-455-g-tub-QPFL10301-/280833568291?pt=UK_SportGoods_CyclAcces_RL&hash=item4162fc2e23#ht_1391wt_782I found these 3 Lithium greases.
I reckon I will just go for the cheapest, Carlube one, £3.84 for 500g seems a bargain compared to the others. Unless someone can tell me that either Castrol or the Weldtite would be any better?

Weldtite do good value greases, lithium or Teflon.
Copper grease is advantageous for anti-seize, so good for seatposts, freewheels, etc.

do not use carbon assembly paste on your headset. I read that yesterday on the internet.

Thread dredge- i recently bought some Muc-Off Bio grease for the first time . Comes in a nice tube with easy application nozzle but it's pretty thin- it washed oyt of my lower headset very quickly and the bearing started to corrode. Not sure I'd trust in in wheel bearings either.
Looking for something thicker/more weather proof for bbs headsets etc- has anyone tried White Lightning Crystal grease?

don't buy in to some bike shop stupid name ball bag grease.
just get some of this, apply with a lolly stick and get with your day. <£3 and it will last forever

Can I use Shimano grease gun (the green grease) in a ST Swiss Star Ratchet or is it too thick? What other alternatives are there?
Quick one,
Do you use the same grease for all your moving bearing parts, BB, headset, hubs, lubing stems/ posts before insertion etc? Or does each bearing type need a specific grease type?
Go on, tell me just one grease for all is fine, I like simplicity, then if so, what's a good general one to have in my kit?
Thankyou.
