Can this be converted to a SS/fixie?
-
• #7
It'll need a lot of inverse shimming to make into a fixie.

Yes, with a steel 125 rear end a 120 track wheel would fit no problem.

Vertical dropouts almost as good as track dropouts, better IMHO due to can convert back to roadbike :-), usually just adjust the dropout screws to line wheel up, find it easier with vertical dropouts as youve got a guide to help
Bought off ebay but now have a different frame I will be building as a touring mule. Description as off ebay.
RJD & S Palmer Reynolds 531ST (Special Touring) steel frame. Size: C/T seat tube 22 1/2", C/C top tube 22", rear dropout width 125mm.
Braze-ons include downtube gear levers, rear mech, 3 x bottle cages, pump (on rear stay) and f&r rack and mudguards.
Condition: Excellent, it looks as if the frame has been built and not used. The brake fittings have been converted at some time from cantilever (bosses removed) to modern calliper (rear bridge drilled out) and this has left areas of what looks like grey primer on the frame and forks that will need touching in-although it doesn't look bad as a 'classic fade'. No dents or damage and fork and bb threads are good.
£85 +£15 shipping if needed.
