• Some bright chap removed the decals so I cant tell if they're Shamal or Vento.

    Clinchers.

Freehub is for 8 speed campag cassettes.

The front hub has been replaced with a shimano 105 32h hub (Don't get me started.) The bearings are peanut butter smooth and I guess it isn't really that noticeable. I'm a snob though, as you probably are too.

The rear bearings could do with a service (Me being picky, they're still totally ridable, and you wouldn't notice if they were on a bike. You can just feel the rough edge when you turn the wheel in your hands.)
The freewheel is good and nice and loud.

The braking surfaces are lightly used, see photos (Strangely more worn on the rear wheel.)

No original skewers but they come with some Formula QR's.

I seem to have just picked out the bad points, probably because I'm hungover. It's still a great wheelset and I would suggest having a look if you're interested as to someone looking at a half full glass they are probably fine!

Viewing/collection welcome from SE14 (Yeah, that's right. That's south of the river.)

£80 rear, £40 front, can post at cost within UK.

  • just came here to see how specifically was the wheelset bastardized. hmmm
anyway, as a side note, i think describing a smooth-rolling hub as being "peanut butter smooth" is somewhat inaccurate, as peanut butter has bits of peanuts in it, and in essence is not (that) smooth

    i'll get my coat

  • It depends which type of peanut butter you buy!

  • I prefer smooth peanut butter...smoooth

  • I prefer my peanut butter with bits in it. Is that how the bearings are?

On another note these wheels are lovely and seem to be a bargain.

  • You chav barmeybear. I'm nice and middle class like Xander (actually is he royalty?).

    It's all about...

    ...and...

Probably terrible as hub grease though...

  • Ive heard peanut butter works well if you run out of carbon assembly paste

  • Not the other way round though.

  • My cupboard right now:

  • Sorry for the hijack. I would buy these wheels if I had the money

  • Same, they do look sweet!

More attracted to the large quantity of peanut butter in my cupboard which was delivered to me by a butler/ ocado van driver, very chavvy ;)

The most middle class of all toast toppings:

  • You use daylesford manuka on toast!?!??!?!??!

    Baller

  • Hehe or in a nice mug of lemsip if I'm feeling poorly, mmm, makes it bearable. Or just a spoonful when I'm feeling peckish

We seemed to have hijacked poor old George's thread, poor George

  • My cupboard, serious tings

  • Katie Price is a bit like marmite......

  • Fucking disgusting

  • Your cupboard full of marmite suggests you like it but now you say Katy price is like marmite and she's disgusting, implying you don't like marmite...

    I like marmite

  • Lidl's mckennedys peanut butter is yummy

  • I really like Marmite, but the joke doesn't really....... oh, wait!....
    ..

These wheels are a bit like Marmite...

    Fucking lovely!

  • Lidl's caramel wafer things are amazing ride snacks!

  • That's better, and yes they are, great value too,
    Somebody buy these wheels

  • fuck I'm tempted.
I do love a messy one.

Also don't give one for the normal stickers, so they'd be off anyway, its just that 105 hub, makes me ill looking at it

  • ..Actually, the small amount of oil-ish substance that you get in peanut butter lubricates flawlessly.

  • I'll throw in a free jar of marmite

  • the morrocans make epic peanut butter, half a jar is your average peanuts, shelled or whole shell, the other half is that expensive cooking oil stuff, can't remember the name, but the two together in teh same jar? Almost sexual
