Check out www.life-cycles.co.uk

they do cheap builds using hope and mavic. I've just got a pair built from 319, Red hubs, CD open pro rims with upgraded sapim spokes. You can go cheaper though. Took a while but good quality in the end.

I have a brand new in the box Hope Hoops RS Mono rear wheel (32h Black Open Pro/Hope Pro 3 Mono 32h Black hub, Shimano freehub/Sapim Sprint Black Spokes and Silver Sapim Brass Nipples).
