What route will you be taking?
-

South west through Kidderminster, Leominster and Rhayader I reckon - around 120 miles give or take, will take a **good **10 hours

I can't do Saturdays, unless it's a polo tournament, really. But that's just an excuse.
I can't remember the last time I rode more than 40 miles. You guys just ride along roads, for half a day, looking at scenery?
Take a ball and practice slapshots.

you'll be 'strandists' if you don't book your bikes on the train....
-
• #14
Don't worry 2Squeak, I predice 6 hipsters will start (although 4 will be late and jeapordise the whole thing) and only Matt and Neil will finish.

You don't need to on the trains that go here....
-
• #17
they only allow 2 bikes at a time on carriages..even if you pre reserve..guards discretion..always a ball ache. just a heads up..i suffered their shit bicycle provisons many a time..
-
• #18
Actually, you're still wrong, it's 3...
And you don't reserve, because you can't on those. -
• #19
Arriva right? I've caught them up and back to Porthmadog before with bikes and needed to get one of those cycle reservation tickets, don't remember them being checked though, depends on the guard I suppose. There were two spaces if i remember correctly. Just make sure your not coming back when uni knocks off for easter as it will be packed with unwashed students

I know it's not much help - but I'm generally up for less ambitious/gruelling rides, particularly if they are mid-week or don't clash with polo, and don't require expensive train travel.
