  • Many views but no interest.

Do you think this super rare shirt is too expensive then..?

Commemorating the historic visit to the UK in 1994 of the Tour de France.

    Rk.

  • maybe lay it flat and take a better shot so we can see if its got the shape of a tshirt or a sack of potatoes . measure armpit to armpit and post the results . £40 is too much but £25 you might get some interest though if you post your cinelli shirt you might get £40

  • Agree with gios. I'd be interested if it was cheaper despite it being 'super rare'.
Is the cinelli shirt for sale?

  • see told you about the cinelli !)!)

Definitely NOT a sack of potatoes - never worn, I'll take another pic with a measurement.

    Cinelli pic to come.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Rk.

  • Sweet cheers road king. I'm gonna dibs both pending pics and measurements

Just measured the Angleterre at 23" across armpits.

Now I've gotta stand on a chair above a table!!!

    Give me a few minutes.

  • Just to say this not an official Tshirt. Its one I put together to knock out of the back of my van at the bottom of Ditchling hill. I got 1,000 made and sold all but 8, which were confiscated by trading standards after the tour had passed. I don't even have one myself and would happily pay £40 for medium,

  • Best dredge ever

    😂

  • Was just reminiscing and was pleasantly surprised. Will now move onto dredging Richard Moller Nielsen's Red and White Army Euro 96 T-shirts. Great marketing disasters on the 21st century; sold four 0ut of a thousand and that was end of my t-shirt business.

  • Fuck I want it.

  • No doubt can find one in the lock up somewhere PB. What's your size? Cost you 50p mind

  • Posted 9 years ago - how do people find these old threads!

  • Was just reminiscing and googling and was pleasantly surprised when this thread came up. Was previously unfamiliar with lfgss, still am really. Takes me back to my nineties t-shirt business days, which were happy, if commercially unsuccessful.
I used to sell at Notting Hill Carnival and one year we did a Warhol derived Crime comes in Colours shirt that had Sir Paul Conlon growing devil ears over four frames. Made the BBC evening news

  • Incredible story, I thought you were taking the mick! Sounds as if there might be some appetite now for super rare NOS.

  • Would buy

    To add to the anecdotes...

This would have been the first pro bike race I saw as a kid, when it passed by Tunbridge Wells close to where we lived. My dad forced me to go, I was only mildly interested.

I remember thinking how strange it was to be posted on a slightly random stretch of deserted A road and the anticipation and then wonder at the ridiculous flotilla. Then 30 seconds of Whoosh. Then we went home and it started raining.

    Good times

  • have you got me pegged as the official gohstwriter for the lufguss book?

  • Awesome- thanks for sharing, made me laugh

  • Ha I had basically this same experience of the race as a kid! I was psyched to recently find the Channel 4 highlights of this stage on YouTube: https://youtu.be/7Q9na0QJGBQ

  • Don't think I've ever watched those! It was actually a good stage. Huge crowds on Ditchling, over 200k too by the looks of it. And Chris Boardman...

Not to mention that great theme tune.

  • Random I watched it near Tunbridge Wells too as a kid
