The London School of Samba meeting went well we all seem to be thinking along the same lines and they presented some of outline drawings of the costumes for the day which I will post here when I get them. Radiator Arts came and are keen to be involved and have experience of bicycles at carnivals. LSS are not only doing Notting Hill but also the Hackney carnival and the Thames Festival which they would like us involved in.
Colin was there and can report back to you.

Al,
Tried to get a crowd interested it would have involved creating some whacky bikes like this below but could not generate suffcient interest so had to pull out.
I always thought this was a a dream made in heaven male dominated cycling meets female dominated Samba dancing but just couldn't get people involved
Adam
I am really excited to announce that there will be a bicycle float at this years Notting Hill Carnival.
The Hackney Bikeworkshop have teamed up with the London School of Samba and agreed that a major component of the LSS's 200 strong performance will be on bicycles. We have a good idea of the structure but are interested in people who want to be involved and perform in the carnival on bikes.
If you are interested please indicate it in the usual way by posting your name to this thread or by contacting us at hackneybikeworkshop(at)gmail.com
