-

Ooh, that could be good. Only need to do a bit of drilling and filing right?
You at souths on weds?
-
• #4
I have a Rik one not being used.
-

Looks neat.
I'm just wondering about the different cable pull ratios it'll give on the two brakes, and can't decide if this would be a good thing, bad thing, or works-for-some-not-for-others thing. -

Thats the mk1 version.
I fitted the mk2 version(shall post pic when get one) last week and seems to work well, takes a little bit of fettling with v-brakes. With longer barrel on the longer pull seems to cancel out pull ratio.
On caliper brakes works amazing if theres adjuster at brake end.
Shall be on bikes at bristol and cambridge tourneys if anyone wants to have a look/go.

I have one too, and works brilliantly. Can definitely vouch for it.

3pmh have told me they can sell us Diacomple Tech 77 dual levers. Ready made rather than retrofitted.
Probably about £35 from the LHBPA if there is any interest.

Isn't the Paul Comp Duplex lever £40?
-
• #14
£43 + shipping and import tax.
Not sure about the BLB price.
-
• #15
They doing long pull and short? (that's just out of interest)
I'd like a long pull one John.

Just had a look on the BLB website. They can't even be bothered to put up high res images and still expect £100 for a lever. WAC.
£50 at Tokyo fixed gear.

Lovely images too. -

Paul or Diacompe?
Diacompe is short pull I imagine, but I'll ask.
-
• #19
I'll get one from Rik..
But £100 for a lever? Seriously?! That makes the Paul cranks look cheap.
-

Promax short-pull dual levers are around £15 delivered and the long pull version is around £25 delivered? The short pull version seems to have stood the test of time?
Or any old lever plus the London mod and some fixings will be around £7.50?
The Paul levers are very fancy, but you can get a dual brake up and running for under a tenner easily.

I'll get one from Rik..

That wasn't the duplex. They're half that price.
How are the Paul levers fairing then? £50 isn't a bad price if they're sturdy? -
• #22
Save those pennies for attending tournaments instead..!
But yeah, the Paul lever is light and sturdy and people seem happy with it.
-
• #23
Yeah I won't be buying one anytime soon.
I don't want to jinx it, but my modded avid with a London mod, has lasted years. Rik's will be even better made so I recommend those. -

Best lever I've ever used, would recommend it.

I had/have a long pull promax, broke both barrel adjusters in one crash and have threaded one of the bolts... Probably user error, but still, I think the Rik/3ms will be a bit better...
Also I like the idea of supporting a polo business.
Considering I manage to break things that just require bolting on, I think me and the London mod are a bad combination!
Need a dual brake lever as have everything else.
Anyone got on in their parts box they could sell me?
