If you're serious about doing this, don't try and organise it publicly. Didn't you see what with the last attempt of the London marathon ride?

^this, and esp. as the paranoia about security for this years games

This was from 2010 - Best Forum ride ever contender.
We were REALLY unpopular with the organisers and got warned off a repeat performance in 2011.
5.30 AM Muster on Blackheath was like a medieval army collecting itself in the mist. Mile marker sprints off the front on closed roads. Getting sent the wrong way down the Embankment tunnel by the police 'Because it's probably closed now'. Final sprint through the timing gear on the Mall. And literally five minutes after this picture was taken the rain came down!

Nah - the BBC is a classic - love the way the cameraman is trying to reframe away from the road throughout the interview.

I've only been a short time member of LFGSS, didn't know about any previous times.
Anyone have an idea as of what time barricades would be set up?
I'm not saying one must organise this, just wanting to get some info if one wants to organise this.

Security will make this unfeasible.
On the 5th of August and the 12th of August, the marathon for the Olympics will be held. Both are from 11:00 – 14:00.
What do you guys think of riding the route when the gates have been set up?
