Wanted: 180 disc Rotor or alu machinist

Posted on
  • Slightly OT, but does anyone have an old 180mm disc rotor? I'm going to cut it in half so don't want a blinging one.

Or random question, is there anyone out there that can machine 5mm Alu? I'm basically after a bash guard for my rotor on my polo bike and the options are limited. Someone in the states makes a front one for $60 posted, but I need it for the rear, and don't want to pay that much.

    Happy to pay monies.

  • Max power sells them for £18, + £3 shipping to uk. His also protects the calliper, deffo needed imo, i just fucked up my bb7 because of crashes.

  • Cheers Max, already emailed.
I think theyre only for sliding drop outs though?

  • You'd be lucky to get anything custom machined for much less than £35 TBH.... Especially if you dont have any drawings or a CAD file to work from.

  • Ah right, so it would probably be worth getting a job lot done then. That price is doable.
There would be drawings for sure.

    Can you recommend somewhere R?

Max Power replied saying they're only for sliding dropouts.
