  • Hi All,

As you guys are always so supportive of my work I thought I'd post my new film on here. A Vimeo premiere. It was a long, hard and fun film to make. I hope you like it, if you don't, please don't tell me ;-)

    Yours forever,

    J xx

    HUMAN BEINGS

  • I put some money into that.

    I'll have a watch later!

  • Did you get your stuff for helping us fund it?

  • So now your industry screenings for your industry friends are done you're letting us little people see it? ;)

Justin doing the business as per.

  • ;-) exactly

  • Did you get your stuff for helping us fund it?

Not yet, but I didn't put in for the gumph. I just like independent film, and I loved some of your other work.

  • First 20 seconds and I'm hooked. CC and feel off the bat is lovely!

  • Can't watch now - remember to watch later.

  • fucking brilliant!

  • Make sure you do actually remember ;-)

  • The Good North on Vimeo

Have a watch of this one, also by our very own jonaent - it's dark but utterly brilliant.

  • afternoon bump

  • I love that ty segal song skin. I play it in my band all the time, over and over.

You don't know him do you? The vid to cents looks similar with animal masks.

  • No, I don't know him. But I have links to a label in LA that released some of their early stuff. They are amazing!

  • Skill.

  • Tea time bump

  • Watched it, loved it.

Really strange build of tension - almost Wicker Man-esque (original one, not Nicholas Cage!).
Good to hear some northern accents on film too!

Good work Jon. Keep us informed of future projects.

  • Thanks man, I appreciate it!

  • Whoa, featured on Vimeo's front page and HD channel!!

  • Sort of reminded me of the TV adaptation of David Peace's Red Riding Trilogy (which I loved muchly).

  • Jon,
Really assured piece, some good performances and an intriguing thread, your usual terse use of dialogue. Well done. There's some excellent light/camera work and lack of stageyness. I'm not sure I liked any if the characters much but cute cute hipster chicks do it for me everytime. I love the daybreak on the moors scene. Best of luck with it.

  • Human Beings has been shortlisted for a 2012 Vimeo Award!!!!

I need the LFGSS community to vote for it if you like it :-) It would be very kind of you all

    https://vimeo.com/awards/vote/narrative

It's one vote per person per day - so you can all vote every day :-)

    Jon xx
