Sounds promising. I'm hoping (/schick) the repair cost won't be £££.

Hope themselves were great to work with, better than Exposure actually, I'm speaking from a reseller point of view.
Go for it, they even replied to emails.

Put it this way, colleague of mine have an Vision 4, the connection become dodgy after 2 years, they repaired it free of charge.

My 3 year old Vision 1 developed a fault (wouldn't turn off, only worked on full beam), then stopped working at all.
I emailed Hope, who sent me a service/repairs form to fill in, and sent the light back to them last Friday, ticking the box that says "please get in touch before doing any expensive work".Today (Wednesday) it came back, with a note saying they'd replaced the circuit board and lens unit, all free of charge.
Excellent customer service. -

Nothing but good things to say about Hope.
My battery casing on my 2 year old Hope Vision 1 cracked and died, I dropped them an email, sent them a photo of it, and they sent me a new one free in return of post, no questions asked. -

Claire, speaking of battery case, you can buy new one from Maplin for a quid fifty I think.
-
• #12
^wow, thanks for the info. I don't know where you get it all from.
-
• #13
Oh I know, I got it from a drug user who always look for some fix.

+1 for many good things.
Had many hope products (MTB) in the past 10-15 years and on the extremely rare occasion I've actually needed something, they've either just sent it out free, or asked I send the item to them for repair/ warranty examination and just done it anyway, no quibble, quickly, and with friendly northern charm.
If there was ever a company that could be used as a business example for 'EXCELLENT CUSTOMER RELATIONS' Hope would be just that.
When I was working in a bike shop they were similarly great when dealing with orders/returns/accounts. -

I'm just going to leave this here. Hope looks like an awesome place to work.

I broke a 15 year old rear hub shell and since they didn't have replacement parts, Hope gave me a 50% discount on a new one. I wasn't even the original owner.

I dropped my vision 1 down the toilet, and accidentally flushed it. Sent Hope an email and they reversed the flush and within seconds my vision 1 was back in my hands. Great service.

What are you going to do with the now surplus Exposure light you've brought in haste?
-
• #22
Which exposure lights did you buy from CRC? My flash/flare combo have both failed. The plastic lens casing has crumbled. So now I have 2 nicely machined alloy light bodies, with nothing to screw in! Exposure lights are jokes. Want hope after reading this.

We got a lots of warranty for the flash/flare light, it appear that the combination of a plastic lens and metal body does not work as well as it should.
To be fair, it's only the Flash/flare that tend to be a problem, whether the rest of the range were perfectly fine (not sure about the Spark, too early to tell).

LowPlug, send it to Exposure.
Anyone here had to send anything back to Hope Tech for repair?
SO! I purchased some new Exposure Lights on offer from CRC and the very same day I managed to drop my beyond-awesome-TNRC-approved Hope Vision 1 light.
... it doesn't work anymore... >>>> rageface.jpg
I have just sent it back for repair using their online servicing/warranty form, but wanted to see whether anyone else had experience of dealing with Hope servicing dept?
Good? Bad? Ugly?
Grateful for your input.
