Got sealed wheel bearings there a while ago.

Sealed cartridge bearings. One says 51.8x8x45 the other 51.5x40x7. They both have a 45 degree angle.

Actually first one is 41.8x8x45. Gave Mercury a ring, gonna email a pic to them and see what they come up with.

N.B. Get a price from the office, the guys on the trade desk just make it up depending on how clueless you look.

sounds to me like a classic 1.5 to 1 1/8 taper bearing, something like a FSA orbit 1.5 or C 40 should fit
upper bearing MR054 (873-2RS)
lower bearing MR110 (073-RS)
one question, does this fit into cups inside the headtube or seat directly into machined recesses?

It's a 1 1/8 to 1 1/2, bearing seat into machined recesses.

ah ok, FSA orbit 1.5 or C-40 not the ones, NO.42-48CF-ACB what you require
upper bearing MR121 (870E-RS) > http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/product/140/160_6480/fsa--870-campag-compatible-micro-acb-headset-bearing.html
lower bearing MR110 (073-RS) > http://www.ukbikestore.co.uk/product/140/160_6740/fsa-1-5---73-headset-bearing.html

I know this is an old thread, but I am now in the same position as the OP. I ordered the lower bearing as linked above, but this is 51.8 O/D and I need 51.5.
Does anyone have any ideas where to get the illusive 51.5 bearing from? I have tried the 'standard' bearing companies. Even trawled through the Chinese frame thread and scoured through the provided links in there, but to no avail.
I know Ribble's Stealth headset fits, but they too are out of stock with no date for replacements. It seems so stupid that a whole frame becomes redundant over 0.3mm.
Any suggestions/pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Anyone else make any progress with this? I'm also after a set of bearings for my Planet X Nanolight
I'm trying to get hold of some bearings for a Planet X headset. I know the sizes and general description but no bike shops seem to sell them seperately. Does anyone know a place that sells a good range of bearings? Bike shop or general bearing specialist maybe.
