  • vitus and aende are porn!

  • Loving the Tommasini James. Hell of a good price too. Splendid.

  • The Aende is lovely, just wish it was bigger. A guy in my cycling club had a pink Aende as his best bike back in the day and used it for 25 & 50 mile time trials his other time trial bike was a chrome Carlton track.

  • Vitus is the nuts.. remember it on ebay last year but couldn't bid ;( Alas too rich for me now but good luck with the sale.

  • Really? Remember one with Mavic Oro rims and a gold coloured Gipiemme crankset. Very bling! Always regretted not buying it. Must be more of these about than I thought...

  • Thanks Wayne, That Viriginia track frame of yours sold yet? Trying to resist buying it!

    Haha... nope, still got it.

  • The Vitus is not a Vitus, it's a Mecacycle and this one is the Turbo Plongeant model. I have a Turbo that you can find details of on Retrobike, although mine now has a set of original Mecacycle bars that were also fitted to the TP version. See the catalogue at http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclecrank/2206652410/in/photostream/ for details of the frame and the wierdo bars.

  • Just to add to my post above, the frame is almost certainly made of Super Vitus 980 tubing, the seat tube is actually a pair of forks before they have the bends but into them. The TP model isn't fitted with a front mech mount, probably just as well as you can't get a front mech to fit them any more. I had to modify a Suntour Cyclone 2 front mech and mill an adapter for it, which was a total bitch to do. Good job it comes with a seat post as it's a quill fitting one and you can't new ones either. The frames have a bit more flex in them than you might expect as SV980 is very thin walled and light. Mine came with an original set of Mecacycle decals but I scanned them before fixing them to the repainted frame, if anyone wants a copy of the scan let me know. SV980 decals are available from Cyclomondo on Ebay and at my request he now does the fork decals too.

  • What's the fit like on the vitus, compared to a conventional frame? I'm a little bit tempted by it, but not sure whether it's going to be too small for me...

  • Hi, what is the brake drop on the Raleigh frame?
Would you sell without the fork?

  • Really like the Aende Time Trial Frame. I'm 6,3 do you think it would be to small for me?

  • I like the Aende frame a lot.

Presumably, it takes 700c wheels ?

Would you post any of your frames ?

  • dibs vitus for a friend - pming now

  • Potential Dibs on the restoration project - following weight info

  • Hi, I like the look of the Raleigh frame. By chance, I saw it advertised in an earlier thread of yours with a matching fork, I take it this doesn't exist any more?

  • That Vitus/Mecacycle was beautiful..
