What you doing with the £10?
-
• #3
paying for postage and packaging, also making leaflets asking people to donate them
-
• #4
ignoring the whole £10 diversion, basically you just want free phones.
-
• #5
i have no interest in free phones, its an initiative at college, that allows students to get experience, and also it allows the college to earn some extra money for the students.

here is a link to the initiative http://http://boodle.bcot.ac.uk/file.php/1/Student_Services/Enterprise/New_Picture.png

What happens to the phones then?
-
• #8
they get sent off to a company that removes valuable parts and all information from the phone then they are recycled.

You don't need money to make money from old phones, there are plenty of phone recycling websites who will pay you for them and supply you with pre-paid envelopes to send them off in.
This aside, the point of you being given £10 is that you invest it in something and create a return. This is what entrepreneurs do. Because your current idea doesn't require any investment, it's likely you won't do well if this is assessed because it's something you can do without any initiating capital.
What I'm trying to say is: you're doing it wrong.

It appears that your plan is
- get free phones
- sell phones for money
- keep the money.
I'm struggling to see how this is teaching you enterprise. You're not investing the £10, you're not adding value, you're not making anything. You're just selling something you were given for free. Given that you are not a charity, that is not a business model.
- get free phones

^ That.

Perhaps you could spend the £10 on some ingredients/raw materials. Then make something from these and sell them for a profit.
Given the history of the forum dare I suggest popcorn...

I think it's a good hustle.
Get free phones, sell the phones, get cash, invest cash in 2gramms of coke, boil it down, add paracetamol and talcum powder, sell for profit, get cash, invest again, repeat. Repeat until you're ready to buy one bedroom flat - do it up and sell it. Repeat.
You don't need any college. If anyone asks, you're a dj. You wanted to be a footballer, but injured your knee. -

The best response to this I've ever heard is this: Buy a bicycle pump, sit in a cafe on a busy thorough fare, offer to pump up people's tyres for £1.

Pump for money? This would never catch on.
