I have some tatty 7 speed ones but they're missing the silver things on the left. I can bung them in with the other bits FOC if you can put them to use.

Its worth a shot, but they don't work without those parts, and they're hard (impossible) to find separately. Cheers though, tel.
Anyone else?

Pretty sure I've got some, I'll check tonight

I'm not entirely sure what a non-radiussed boss plate is but I have a pair of Shimano RX100 shifters which look extremely similar including the little plastic thingies that fit flush with the down tube. Any use? I can provide pics tomorrow.

Sorry, really trying to match a set up.. but thanks!
I don't know the proper terminology for these things, i suppose you could also call them saddle washers?
this shape:
I'd prefer the flat type instead.. rare as!

I might well have a pair in perfect condition on a bike I'm about to strip. I'm collecting the bike tomorrow morning and will let you know, it has a 105/600 mix and I can't remember what the shifters are.

Those gear lever bosses are getting hard to find I agree, especially the flat ones you're after. If you already have a pair of tatty bosses of the other type you can just grind the raised bits flat with a dremel so it sits flat to the frame. I did this with my TVT and several Vitus and you'd never know.

yeah, thats what i was planning to do. It's a shame to have to do that, though!

IF I don't respond by friday, remind me to look in boxes at work. We stripped a bit with that gruppo a few weeks back.

Right, I've had a dig around my shed and found a pair of these 600 7sp levers:http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?id=75c91ac5-4408-49e5-a9f1-d6581e1be9d5
The levers are in good nick (obviously used but perfectly presentable), and they still have the flat style bosses that I cut down so they'd fit my TVT - not perfect but at least you won't have to butcher any of your own and you'd have to be very picky to notice. The chrome has flaked a bit on the bosses though. Pm me if interested. -

BOSH! pm'd.

I've got some flat bosses for DT shifters from a DA 9 speed set that I'm upgrading to STIs, make a sensible offer if you still need them
-
• #21
I'm pretty sure they won't be particularly cross-compatible, and it would be a shame to trash a pair of DA shifters. But thanks very much for the offer.
Looks like roadrash has very kindly sorted me out, too.
Cheers!

Those bosses are about the only DA part that are compatible with the lesser Shimano groups from that era. I have them on some 8 seed DA7402 levers that I've also used with both 105 and 600.
-
• #23
If anyone on here wants them I have some 600 tricolor downtube shifters in good nick going spare.

Hey! Aware this thread is old and gone but I would love to get a pair of these, the flat backed boss plates are all I need as I have a pair with the curved ones which won't work on my frame! But happy to buy the whole 600 shifters off you if you'd rather. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I'm an idiot SJS sell them cheap I have been googling the wrong thing for ages. In case anyone else ever finds themselves in the same situation:
http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/shimano-sl-6028-lever-boss-cover-for-alloy-frames-prod28414/
A-la:
SL-6401, 7 SPEED.
Any working condition considered, non-radiused boss plates (as above) preferred but not essential.
Cheers!
