is this really needed tester? lots of people that own fgfs bikes are constantly changing components on their bikes so you could definitely say that the ESB is an ongoing project. if you don't want to read this thread, put it on ignore. i however, do want to read it.

i however, do want to read it.
But which bike do you want to read about? If the ESB is in line for some upgrades (and there is no suggestion of this in the OP), that might be the time to start a thread about it. Otherwise, there are other places to just display already completed bikes.

^ Wow.... I knew you were anal, but jesus christ!
There's this place called the real world, where people don't spend all day on bike forums, doing CAD drawings of chainrings and cutting aerodynamic shapes out of helicopter tape.... You should visit it some time... It's pretty cool, people are nice to each other, and there aren't quite as many dicks as there are here.

yeah, there isn't any indication of any changes, but maybe none are needed because it's in the current projects thread. i really like how in-depth you go with your threads and posts but just leave it at that, we don't need a constant barrage of correctness coming from you.

sorry lads in my opinion none of my bikes are ever "finished" and are always in need of upgrading! i will get a new trick frame in march hopefully and the dolan wants new cranks... possibly nicer pedals to.. and a seat...
here is a photo of the dolan a week ago for those that care

I'd agree with Tester on having separate threads. You'd only need to do two more and you could just edit and copy the info then ask for the titles to be changed(?).
...seems to make sense really... but not massively fussed either way.
Just a thought.

Not my idea; it's Velocio's instruction when he created the projects sub-forum. I just thought I'd set swedeee on the path of righteousness before his thread gets messy with three different bikes.

surely that was your main concern.

ESB is nice, don't like the Dolan though!

lovely array of bikes mate, my only criticism is that the pub build needs a basket for pork scatchings and bandit winnings :)

raleigh twenty pub bike
odd tyres
weird baskets that i dont know the function of (they expand with a spring about 3 cms outwards then pop back into place.... someone please shed some light on this)They used to have a holdall that sat on the rear rack, with a metal C shaped bracket on the base front and rear. It slotted into the frontmost cross member of the rack and the back was held in place by opening and closeing, onto the metal bracket, the spring loaded clamp you mention. You can just about make it out in this photo

moonboy at last someone has shed some light on the mysterious rack!
here is my esb in its latest form. resist 45c tyres (not as fat as i had hoped) and some new 4 inch rise bars courtesy of the ninja cats boys.
my new frame is taking some time to come through but it will be very special when its done. i will then be selling/willing to trade/part exchanging this frame against a BROOKLYN MACHINE WORKS GANGSTA! I want one really bad for my flat commutes in cambridge for the next year as part of my placement year.. so spread the word. im a tall guy so would need a bigger one ha
in action..

Lol I bought a shopper cycle to restore for the mrs today, upon disassembling found a long spring loop sprouting out from the bottom of the handle bars after I took them out for polishing. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was for.
Mystery solved.
