Beater, Ofmega and Cockpit still for sale.

  • Did you ever get round to doing some miles on the Lavoro in TT mode?

  • yeah, but only a handful of a loop of Nottingham- Stapleford.
    :(

Was going to be a TT summer, not going to happen anymore.

  • is that the same lavoro?

  • Also is the Boardman the disc or v brake version? Could be interested

  • Different- same reason for the sale though- not enough use.
I'm not sure how much cycling I'm going to be doing this year, so shedding the weight, so that I can get on with other things.
Disc version- pretty sure its gone though.

  • Would you be willing to sell just he seatpost from the beater frame? What size is it?

  • No, sorry.
Its not stuck, just goes perfectly with the frame.

  • Wow bargain on the Boardman didn't realise you'd picked one of those up. The problem with the BB was that the bearings weren't greased sufficiently at the factory, somehow Boardman CXs seemed to get alot of the bad batch. Halfrauds replaced the bearings on mine and it's been fine since.

Shame you're not getting to do your TT summer, I'm hoping to get into shape enough to make giving a couple of fixed TTs worthwhile.... was just interested to ask what sort of gear you rode and what sort of avg speed you were doing....

  • Might do 1 or 2, but not fixed.
No TT summer, but I do get a v. cheap trip to Kenya.

Picked up the Boardman '2nd hand' off of a friend in Leamington.
I think he'd bought it for his gf, who never rode it. It was sitting in its box as if it had just come straight from the shop!

  • So the Boardman is definitely sold, and the Lavoro is getting its own thread.

Anyone want a lovely beater/ chainset?

Any chance of some better photos of the Dawes beater please?

  • On Monday, yes.

  • ALSO FOR SALE:
£475 Boardman Team Alu- 105 componentry, Mavic Cosmic wheelset (slight upgrade)
Perfect condition, done about 1k miles maybe a bit more.

  • Vision bars added.

  • Special deal for £75 on Cranks + Frame + Seat post + Stem + Bars...
    Photos at 5ish.

  • What size is the Boardman road?
It could be perfect for someone at work.

  • Medium as well. Cheers.

  • Eyebrows stop having bikes very slightly too big for me!

  • It rides quite small I feel, in comparison to other bikes I've ridden of the same 'size'.
I guess it comes down to geometry.

  • hmmm he was saying that he was after a 56, but I have a feeling this might fit.
