• Right, take two!

    The bike in its original set up was a bit too extreme for everyday riding so I've 'tweeked' it a bit, gave it a full service and it's good to go!

    Late 90's Dave Lloyd / SotfRide complete bike - very quick ride, smooth 'suspended' ride thanks to the carbon beam. The frame is just beautiful, nice retro colour scheme with chrome chainstay and chrome drop outs, check out the pictures of the lungs and the bike is in overall good condition since it has spent its life indoors. As initially a time trial bike, mileage clocked up has been minimal so you'll be able to get another 20 years out of it. The clearance on the rear brake is pure filth.

    Here is the specification:

    • 653 Reynolds tubing with SoftRide Allsop SRS 510 carbon suspension beam (maximum rider weight is 90kg or 14st);
    • Shimano 600 Tri-Color Ultegra FC-6400 170mm crankset (52T & 42T chainset) with Simano UN-90 Bottom Bracket 113mm;
    • Shimano 600 Tri-Color Ultegra RD-6400 8 speed rear derailleur;
    • New 8 speed HG50 cassette 12-25, Regina chain, Shimano SL-R400 downtube braze-on shifters, both indexed;
    • Shimano 105 Super SLR BR-1055 brakeset (dual Pivot, 39mm to 49mm drop) with Shimano pads;
    • Rigida Nova clincher 700c rims on Formula hubs (can accomodate up to 10 speed cassette) - tyres will be Michelin 700c x 20 Synergy - tan/green/black for the colour coded win (not the Gatorskins in the picture);
    • Ritchey headset,
    • 42cm Dawes drop bars, Kalloy 100mm quill stem + the original tri-bars (ITM Dual Adjustable Stem with 26mm Cinelli Tempo bullhorns)
    • White San Marco Rolls (1991 and a bit battered)
    • VP Alloy pedals with toe clips + Look Arc pedals (no cleats, sorry).
      Size wise, I estimate it to be around the 54cm/56cm as the carbon beam can be moved up or down and the saddle slid forward or backwardthat's - this would suit someone between 5ft8 to 6ft1.

    I have just serviced the bike, changed brake cables (inner & outer), recent bar tape, had both wheels trued, checked over everything and adjusted the gears. The bike is therefore good to go, no work required!

    The bike is in Chancery Lane, come down for a look and a test ride - I can guarantee you that if you ride it, you will buy it.

    Price was £SOLD now £SOLD for the full bike.

    I've also got a Cougar Low Profile for sale here ( http://www.lfgss.com/thread79213.html ) - I can do a deal on both bikes.

    Cheers

    Vince

  • Don't splittt!

  • I once rode next to one of these in a road race, it was like riding next to Zebedy boing boing boinging along, although it was being ridden very energetically by someone fairly chunky.

    The triathletes had a big fad phase for these for a time, was reckoned to be the best thing since sliced bread at the time- maybe the "top tube" was made out of sliced bread.....

    A piece of history and cheap at the price too.

  • are you splitting the trispokk? can i dibs pending price?

  • This fella wants it...
