Tidy finish mate. Preferred it before personally, but if you're gonna kill puppies do it sympathetically.

still think the OP should give a bit more info to make for a more interesting thread. what was the reasoning behind the choice of this that and the other? any unexpected problems or what not? is it your first build?
let me in on the journey. you built a FG bike and you have no story to share?
otherwise just merge it into the other thread.

yep, if your gonna commit such brutal acts of puppy killing, you really should explain what the hell you were thinking....
-
• #9
wait you repainted a conversion?
-
• #10
^ what's wrong with repainting a conversion?
The original paint was cool, but it still looks great. What were the original cranks?
-
• #11
they looked like some sort of stronglight to me.
or nervar, actually.
conversion is nice, but risers would suit it better imo:) -

I never really understood going to such lengths to 'improve' a road frame like that when track frames or more easily converted frames are out there. Looks smart though and I too want to know what the wheels are. FWIW I think it should still have drops.

I thought the answer was fairly obvious, as it IS a road frame designed for the road, more room for bigger tyres, slacker geo for everyday riding, mount for front/rear brakes, etc.
the only issue I have with road frame in general is simply the bottom bracket height, otherwise road frame make great fixed wheel bicycle.

Yeah I get that but it's the puppy killing mods I don't really follow (chainsawing hangers off and so on). Just leave all the junk on the bike and it can always go back the other way.

That I do agree, especially if it's a Pinarello that make a great roadie if one decided to build it as.
I'm now agreeing with Skully after realising that he essentially just drop all the photos and bugger off back to Nirvana, seemed that the main topic is idea for a quickie project.
