  • Hi are these gone ? or are they still available

  • Gone. To me.

  • Ok cheers

  • With regards to this, I was researching this subject and found this
link of the 'Campagnolo Croce D'Aune gruppo brochure 1988'

No mention of delta... Also I was under the impression that Delta's
were the unique name associated with C-record brakes with the
    internal mechanism...

Maybe you right and I am wrong? But for sure no mention of delta...

Cd'A is still Delta, just not Record

  • No mention of delta...

Both brakes are colloquially known as Delta due to the Δ shape of the body, but you're right that only Record is given that name in official catalogues. Cd'A "Delta" brakes should really be called "Penta-Drive System", but who wants to write that every time, and who would know what you were talking about? :-)

  • It is still Delta since you will start with the top end model ( Record) or C record, then it will list there and therefore no need to list on the lower model.

The Penta System was redone after the first version had problems, one was a piece getting loose.

The other was when Delta first came out they were meant to slow you down not stop.

You was to slow down but still maintain race speed but racers did not think it had enough power and people who bought them could not stop on the street, Campagnolo had to redo the brake sysytem.

    S/F,
    CEYA!
