My guess:
Zipp box, errrr... aero headtube spacer?? not sure what all the grooves are for though, armrest spacer?, seatpost.

Are they foils to add to Tri-bars?

L-to-R
Cervelo shim for UCI legal post; 60mm riser for 3T Ventus; Cervelo UCI legal post.
Zipp box contains VumaChrono cranks, Vuma Ceramic BB and Keo Blade Aero pedals -

Probably. They'll give him lift, this is the ultimate weight-weenie bike... the bike will feel lighter once it has lift.

Have Cervélo discontinued the T3? It's gone from their site. I thought it was really successful.
Unless they're prepping a T5 or something...
-

They are still shipping T3s, but the 2012 Olympic athletes will be getting T4s, and paying customers should get them after that, so effectively the T4 will be a 2013 model.

Ah, excuse my ignorance.

Successful in what sense? Plenty of wins under sponsored riders, but I'd never seen one in the flesh until the postman arrived with mine, whereas you can't move for P3s at any time trial or triathlon.

Yeah, the sponsored riders thing I guess.

Is that fake water bottle legal? I mean I guess it must be but It's clearly not contributing anything to the BB and is much larger than 3:1?
p.s. I'm sure I remember seeing you post something about using what amateur riders are riding as a good guide for quality (as opposed to pros/sponsored riders) because they actually have to pay for them ;)

Yes, it's legal. Frame members cannot exceed 3:1 or 80mm deep, but there is a region near the joints where 'fillets' can stray outside these bounds. Even without a fillet, the angled intersection of two 80mm x 27mm elements will be more than 3:1 if you measure in the right direction.
I think Cervelo's FEA guys will take issue with the idea that it's not making a structural contribution too.

I don't understand any of this thread
Stuff looks fancy though. Does that thing actually hold water?
-

Any frame without a drain hole at the lowest point of the BB shell holds water.
And can hold Legionella organisms as well. -

Interesting- are you doing any aero testing? I had a go with the Chung virtual elevation stuff (only requires a powermeter, fairly windless day and hillingdon circuit)- seem to be able to tell the difference between hands on tops, hoods and drops (not a very demanding test but a start....).

Not yet, just sticking with the position that worked last year wrapped around the new frame. Might treat myself to some tunnel time eventually.

You could add that iBike thing, then overlay the traces from the powertap/SRM and the iBike, that would give some figures on each position?

what distances?86th in the National 50 championship in 2011 (up from 111th in 2010), I don't do anything longer than that.

Doesn't affect the T4, as the fillet has nothing to do with bottles, and UCI teams are already forced to use the wrong bottle on the P4

Needs customised spacer to fair headset dust cover into Ventus stem
Saddle to bar drop will look less epic when the seatpost is dropped another ~30mm into the frame and 60mm risers are placed under the elbow pads

Bars mocked up using the old & new risers, waiting for 3T to send the other 60mm riser which somehow got missed out of the package. I see 3T have just launched Ventus II, so I'm already behind. Not sure that the new one is altogether an upgrade for UK testers who hardly touch the "starting handles", but it's claimed 200g lighter which would be nice if only because the weight of the original has caused some people's otherwise well behaved bikes to develop shimmy.

WW: Can you take those grips off the start bars?
2012 is all about aerodynamics
