As I understand it you can fit non BB30 cranksets to BB30 ready frames by use of an adaptor, but not the other way around.

^ is that because the crankset is shallower to allow for external bearing cups?

Some MTB riders have succeeded in running Cannondale Hollowgram BB30 cranksets on standard English bottom brackets with outboard bearing shells, but with a massive Q factor: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=97302

Good advice. As those cranks are utter shite.

^ given the saving is only about £100 that could cost me more. Unless I can find some goof to buy them on ebay.
With that in mind: the link's over here Dov >>>>>>>>>>>

^ scrap that, i just checked my frame. It's a standard BB. I'l be keeping those cranks and whacking them on a Canyon instead. Woot.
Would like to know whether it's possible to run my FSA SLK-Light crankset (which came on my BB30 frame) on a standard BB on a Canyon Ultimate SLX. Any issues, how much would it cost and what would be involved?
Reconsidering my purchase of a BMC RM01 in favour of the former....
thanks in advance.
