info. on Stannett cycles

have recently got hold of a Stannett frame which is built from 531 tubing and has Campag. dropouts but know nothing of the marque other than a vague recollection they were based somewhere in Essex....can anyone shed some light on this make?

I had a Stannett. I bought the frame from a bike shop on a trading estate near the Fortune of War roundabout on the A127 London to Southend-on-Sea road. I don't remember the shop's name. Was a nice frame in a rich blue colour with Reynolds 531 tubing as you describe. I fitted mine out with Mavic SSC groups etc.
