  • this thread is for you if you can remember: 3 tv channels on your rented black and white TV, black forest gateaux, free school milk, the zx-80, klackers, vinyl car seats and Elvis dying.
a thread for nostalgia, reminiscing and 'were mars bars really 10p or did i imagine it?' type posts.

just watched leggs & co on 1976 TOTP, never did understand why my old man watched top of the pops, i can appreciate that now.

  • im 25 in a couple of weeks, probably only really gonna live to 50. so i should also be part of this, right?

  • Is there a thread for those that can remember 2 channels?

    I'l keep out.

  • I also sat GCSE's having missed O-Levels by about 3 years I think.

But I was milk monitor at my first school and I was 12 when my parents upgraded to a colour TVand then had to wait until I move out to have a TV with a remote.
I also am still lacking about 3 layers of skin from the back of my thighs which was ripped from them by the burgundy vinyl seats in my Grans Morris Marina.

  • The track at fallow field manchester I saw reg harris
    Salt and shake crisps
    Telephones with a padlock,and a party line
    Aztec bars
    3 gears
    Real winters and real summers
    Jobs
    Woolworths pick en mix
    Action man with gripping hands
Golliwogs on the back of jam
    Choppers
Emmanuel the film still don't understand it
    Shag pile carpet
    Party seven
    Smoking everywhere

  • ^^ I was on the cusp year, last year to do O levels I think, I do remember we also had the option to do CSEs but they were for the real window lickers.

  • My middle-aged claim to fame is that my dad was a graphic designer all of his working life until he retired a few years ago and he came up with the font / design for Spangles.
