Holdsworth Pro SL was the frame of its day...and out of interest i would like to see some pics [though too big for me]....i am sure someone would be interested due to the marque and the fact it is 531SL....which is very rare...icing on the cake would have been if the frame was in team colours...orange with blue decals.

Yeah, unfortunately it is not the orange and blue, but I've ridden it extensively over the summer and it is a wonderful frame. Just a bit too special for general riding and I don't use it enough to justify. It has some lovely touches; the fastback stays and drilled drop-outs really stand out. Here is a photo I have of it built up over the summer:

Bump. If there's no interest I'll probably be putting it on the bay in the near future.

nuovo_record:
What a good idea....but that does not go far enough....it must be kitted out in the finest Campag Super Record c1980s money can buy..plus all the trimmings.....Are sprint wheels ok for you? Naturally we must get it resprayed so that it is orange and blue plus 531SL decals.....and i'll pass, on your kind offer of letting me sit on it [the bike that is].....as long as Campag sellers and Mercian [respray]....accept Monopoly money....if they do....well you will have a shiny new Holdsworth Pro SL...if not????

I can't hook you up with 80's super record, but would anyone like the frame (to paint/sit on/whatever floats your boat)?

What ever happened to your professional ?
only wandered as i have just bought one and yours is the only other one i can see with same cluster etc etc
Just wanted to gauge some interest. If anyone is interested I'll post some pictures.
I'm looking to PX preferably but may be willing to sell my Holdsworth Professional SL.
Details are in this 1981 brochure -

Beautiful, beautiful frame in very good condition. Not exactly sure on size (will measure later today), but about 60 ST / 58 TT. Gold with black Holdsworth lettering. Cut-out Prugnat lugs. Drilled titanium dropouts front and rear (vertical), and drilled BB shell. Chromed rear stay on drive side. Reynolds 531SL throughout.
I'm after either another piece of really nice steel, though something a little more practical, with horizontal dropouts, or a titanium frame (will PX if necessary).
Required size is near as damn it to 60cm ST 57cm TT
Any interest?
