Dresden is beautiful, i had a day to kill there a few years ago and just wandered around, lotsa gorgeous buildings, squares, pretty friendly people. I just reccomend a rambling wander round the old town

Just having a wander around and trying to avoid mentioning incendiary bombs was about what I had planned to do.
I can't tell if the German Hygiene Museum sounds like the best or worst museum ever. It sounds incredibly boring, but there was a lot about it at the Wellcome Collection's Dirt exhibition, and that was really good. Maybe not this time.

i think i've said too much
I'm off to Germany on Wednesday for a spot of research for my MA thesis, and I'm going to have almost a whole day in Dresden with nothing to do.
I lived in Berlin for a year but never made it down there, somewhat unforgiveably, so if anyone has any idea as to what I can do while I'm there I would be very grateful.
