• I would like to get into SPDs, after riding with clips for years and years and as it's getting wetter I figure I might as well try and get some relatively waterproof at the same time.
I'm after something semi-decent, that I can walk on off the bike and that will keep my feet warm and dry this winter. I'm a size 10.5 UK, or thereabouts.
Anyone got anything? Some pedals/cleats'd be good too although I'm happy to buy those new.
    Ta.

EDIT: Just realised I said sub £40, but the cheaper the better, obviously. I don't need anything fancy like.

  • There's these on the bay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-MENS-AIR-STAR-CYCLING-SPD-SHOES-Size-10-5-UK-45-EU-IMMEDIATE-DISPATCH-/390359185993?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Athletic_Shoes_ET&hash=item5ae3387a49
If you're worried about getting wet/cold feet buy overshoes, not many shoes (certainly non in your price range) will offer you proper full on wet weather protection in any case.
You can also buy new double sided spd pedals with cleats for £15 posted from SJS cycles

  • Thanks mate, looking for second hand preferably!

  • Good timing, PM'd!
