Wanted: Missing pieces of a road groupset

  • This is all I need now to finish off a build.

My set-up is going to be 2x8, so any levers that are compatible with that is that would fine fine, preferably Shimano though.

I also need a new rim for a wheel that is worn, though I would happily just take a new rear wheel with Shimano freehub if it's not too expensive.

    Cheers!

  • Got a front campag derailleur £10

Not sure what it is, its 80s so probably for double

  • I have a 9 speed shimano cassette. Think it's Tiagra 11-25.
    £10?

  • I've got a pair of 8speed sunrace STi shifters (new)
    A shimano 105 gruppo (6 or 7spd) and a shimano exage gruppo (6spd).
And a whole lot of wheels

  • Cheers for your responses. Think I've already got a Shimano derailleur lined up and I've got my eye on a couple of Dura Ace cassettes on Ebay.

Kay, how much do you want for the Sunrace STi levers?

  • Hi I have got a 8 speed cassette which you can have for £5 plus the postage

  • I've got 8sp SRAM cassette

  • Also a pair of brand new shimano R500 wheels in black. £80 posted with the SRAM cassette.

  • Robbiebee, what size is that, the biggest chainring looks bloody massive!

Also, is that a broken tooth on the smallest ring or just flash overload? How many miles has it done?

  • I got a cassette off Ebay now so I won't be needing that, sorry.

Firyjack, I'm only after a rear wheel, I've been told the bike I'm getting has a rear wheel with a decent hub and spokes but a worn rim, but a new rim and a rebuild would probably cost the same as a relatively standard rear anyway. Would you consider selling just the rear?

  • Updated to reflect what I actually need now

  • There's a guy on here selling a R500 rear wheel brand new I seem to recall, search for Shimano r500.

  • Nice one mate, I just found that.

It's a pretty good deal, but my bike arrived today and the rim's in a lot better state than I expected. Assuming the groove is a wear indicator and not just brake wear there's a lot of life in it yet. It's a Pro-Lite Como as well which, if price alone is something to go by, is a slight step up from the R500 too.
