Mark who runs this place helped me build my first classic bike, gave me good prices, advice, even offered to fit me on it for free. Sadly he's no longer local to me, but I still go in to show off new projects.

Also can anyone recommend anyone central / westish? LBS (who shall not be named in case they manage to sort the ungodly mess out) just broke my headset trying to fit it.

The Bicycle Workshop again. Central and westish, but they have a long lead time for work.

Prav is a boss!

+1, my preferred place
I've done some searching and not much has come up, hence this post.
I'm after the top london bike mechanics, be it in a shop or privately. These are the guys/girls you'd happily let work on your bike and know it will be done correctly.
Is there such a list? Can we maybe start a list of who's who in the city?
