Lovely bike, always wanted a Witcomb and this one would fit.
What sort of age is the frame?
-

I believe it's early '90's, and was refurbished by Barrie Witcomb about 6 years ago.
I have a much more recent Witcomb the same size that I might be listing soon. It'll be a fair bit dearer, but PM me if you are interested.

Lovely...

I grew up around SE8 and promised myself years ago that I would buy a Witcomb when the right one came along. Sadly this is the right bike in the right size but I'm not going to have the cash to spare for a few weeks. Arse!

Snap, Dan, snap.

Although I would be able to afford it mid-November, so on the million to one chance it is still around then....

Just got back from Herne Hill & was thinking about getting a track bike. I'm 6'3" so might be a bit small?
-
• #14
I'm 6'3 and it would be ok for me but I have short arms so it would need a slightly shorter stem.
-
• #15
Also, this isn't a track frame. Its a road conversion.
-
• #16
I'm 6'2", top tube on the Witcomb is the same as my current bike.
-
• #17
= it's clearly the wrong size for both of you

Nothing to see here

Damn it, Dammit.

I'm fibbing, it might fit you- book a test ride.
Never having met you I'd have put you on a 60cm due to your height, but as Dan proves we are all put together differently.
-
• #21
I misread the frame size actually.
I'd need a longer stem with a 58cm TT.
-
• #22
Bike that is next to me has a 57.5cm top tube and a 120mm stem

That frame needs gears, a rack, luggage, and me riding it around Asia.... shame I've got projects coming out of my ears at the minute... just my size as well.
-
• #24
You can ride it around Asia all you like, but it's collection only from SE10!
BTW, this has now been Dibs'd by a mate of Kam's.
I've still got loads of other stuff up though.
