There's been demand for it for ages. Back before Christmas I decided I would do this, but study has been swamping me down.

When the new design comes along this forum is going to be back where it should be, at the very height of awesomeness.

It seemed wrong to downplay the rest of the UK when so many of us travel around it so frequently and the subcultures have spilled out of London and now cover so many cities. And so much stuff like the mechanics, training, touring, and general advice is generic... so why duplicate on 50 forums? All that's really needed is the ability for people to create forums for their cities on the cheap, and the ability and willingness later to let them branch off and create strong independent communities when they're ready to.

All of it benefits the wider cycling community, and strong local communities are just a really good idea. London has benefited so much and other cities should too.

The right thing to do is for LFGSS to help others do whatever they want so long as it ultimately is good for the wider cycling community/ies.

IoM FGSS is never going to happen, is it?

Not sure what kind of advice you are looking for.

I would suggest you hang around for all manner of helpful advice about posting in correct areas of the forum, using your brain, how to win friends and influence people etc.

So you don't wish to contribute here but you do want some advice in return? I see...

Hello again, sorry if I upset anybody. Years of internet have made me weary of the obligatory unhelpful response/s on forums.

I love riding bikes, have done for years. Just come back from Zimbabwe where I did a lot of cycling on fancy and beautiful bikes that were kindly lent to me by an athlete there. In the normal course of my life, I ride a shitty bike to work and college every day. I do stop short at the funny hats.

Anyway, bike was stolen. I need to look into find a new one. I came here to consider a single speed bike which I am guessing will be lighter and will give me more speed.

I don't want to spent more than 200 quid if I can help it.
