Right:
my employers are looking at signing up to a cycle purchase scheme, but the latest development is that they are looking at a finance purchase company who would sell the bikes to us. My issue with this is that we won't be using local bike shops and new cyclists won't be establishing a relationship with a bike shop.
So, the attraction of the scheme is 30% off the listed price, no deposit and pay in monthly instalments - 13 payments of 1/12 of the price. This works out as 25% off and free finance.
Most bike shops do a 10% discount to pretty much anyone, so I was wondering whether any of you what work at bike shops might be able to tell me who to ask at the shop who could tell me how close to matching that deal you could come to.
As I already own enough bikes I'm not going to profit from the deal, I just would rather we give money to local shops than to some big company.
