How tall are you mate? Would it work for gentleman of six feet?
-
• #4
lazy was gonna suggest that to you but you need to try it because i think your knees will prevent you from turning corners.
-

^ Cheers winch, That's the biggest reservation, the knee situation, i do have long legs. Was really being optimistic.

I am 6' 1", so you'd be alright on the TT length, it just depends how long your arms are....
Viewings this Sunday evening would be ideal.

Smashing bike and everything, don't know much about griffin of Kent, but I don't think it's the same as Bob Griffin - Bob was based in Cheltenham back in the 90's in my cotswold league days, I used to drop in at his shop - as far as I recall all his bikes had the full name "BOB GRIFFIN" on the downtube with a Griffin's head between the 2 words. On the headtube were the letters BG.
I may be talking out of my hat - he may have come to Cheltenham from Kent, but my memories are confirmed by a facebook group the Bob Griffin appreciation society - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=18375583096&v=photos
A splendid chap, and worthy of appreciation, but not necessarily responsible for this particular frame. -

Your chain is on wrong.
-
• #11
i'll buy the frame for £125 off you, it's the only one that can fit me perfectly (6' but need 53cm tt).
such a shame you decided to stripe the restored bicycle into a fixie skidder.
-
• #12
Ed, I may break it but not yet, ideally I want to sell in one go...
Tel, thanks for that link, hope all is good with you!
I've got a few people interested but first to come knocking with cash gets it!

• #13
Still available? pm in.....

That frame won't fit anyone, a normal person would need something like an 140mm stem to compensate.
The top tube length would fit a 5'4 person easily.

YO! "Reybolds 531"

That's for pointing the typo put sacredhart, luckily we all know what I meant.
Orko 42 is top of the pile pending viewing...

Stepping of this now, new project in mind, Thanks for top of the pile Fella..... bump

So all parties contacted, this is now back on the market.
I will try and take better pics this weekend as the photos really dont do it justice.
Ed, cheers for the support but I dont have the time or the tools to strip it, UNLESS you want to take the frame, cranks + pedals, stem, bars, seatpost and seat.......PM if interested.
-
• #21
How did you managed to stripped it from it's original glory to this fixie skidder in the first place then?
-
• #22
Price: £325.00
If the bike sells for the full asking price.....
If the bike sells for the full price suggests offers considered. Away you go Ed, strip it and take the profit from the parts yourself.
Job done!

Ed, play nice.
-
• #24
Good morning guys,
Ed, I got Tel to strip it for me, he kept the parts on I wanted.
My offer still stands.
