haha. i used to go out with a german girl and went to my first oktoberfest in about '98 i think.

it was fsking terrifying. my overiding memory was walking down an walkway in a huge marquee between row after row of raised tables. it reminded me of a cattleshed. the floor was covered in broken glass, beer, piss and puke. the most enduring mental snap-shot i've carried with me of that day is of a blurry background of drooling, staggerinly drunken men shouting and falling over to the distant oom-pa band, and in the foreground... blood dripping from a steel railing.

This is my favourite.

I love how far tranny man has launched drunken bloke in a beer fuelled rage. I love the shock on the faces of the onlookers. I love the strangely happy grin on the face of the woman between the fighters.

I wish I'd been there.
