good luck finding a team to go with luke....
just to make it clear, i think a lot of what you've written on the forum is in bad taste, and i know others agree. its just plain foolish to be nasty to a group of people that you've only met recently, while trying to establish your place in said group.
theres a difference between banter and just plain insults.
nuff said.

What's all this noise. You guys out then? Trying to get an idea so we can can estimate how long we need the venue and maybe reserve some pub space if required.

Ignore that shit, let's talk polo. Newcastle will be up for this in some form :)

Just seen this - I'm all over it.
07:38 train gets in at 10:19.
Last train back is 18:41.
Says 10 til 10 on the Facebook page. Is this realistic? Lights etc? If so, any chance of somewhere to kip?
Who else from Newcastle is definitely in? -
• #14
Times are made up. I guess we have light till 7pmish? Will be done by then or head to another court. I can sleep 3 people if need be, maybe 4 but you'd be sharing with cats so allergy sufferers beware... More than that and I'm sure someone else can put up more people if required. Post tourney pub/club is being worked out at the moment.

Start time is right, end time is made up* Being there 10ish is a good idea! A good chance at getting on a Wild Card team if you still fancy it without a full team.

Quality, cheers - I'd be up for not having to rush back, especially if Edinburgh post-tournament boozing was anything to go by.
Can always get the 0630 train up on Saturday morning to get there for 10... fuuuuuuuk

Hey guys, just a last minute note to say - this is definitely still going ahead, weather doesn't look great but there will be some form of shelter for the spectators.
Games should kick off at 10am, please try and be there by then if you want to play. Even if you don't have a team and want to play there will be a quick throw in tourney where anyone can play before the main one gets going (you can use this to find other players without a team and enter the main one!).
The venue is a kid's play centre and it's pretty important that we save the boozing for post tourney as any issues with the police and we lose our court for all our games, and it's taken us ages to find a court this good so we really want to keep it! Non natives - you can't drink booze in the street in Glasgow, £60 fine!
See you tomorrow and bring a brolley!- Fo Drizzle.
James. - Apologies for how scatological this has all become!

That was great fun and it was good to see you all. We should get more Edinburgh-Glasgow-Newcastle games going. Your turn newcastle?
-

Aye, was good craic, thanks Glasgow. Surely can't rain any more whenever we do it. Sensible were looking good Colin - time to break the Edinburgh monopoly I reckon.

Agreed, Matt. Big props to Glasgow for putting on the tourney, for the craic and the warm (if a little damp) welcome. Good result Edinburgh, but we definitely want a rematch!
Hey guys. Right we are doing this tourney on October the 8th in Glasgow. Can we count on you guys for a team or two or is it a Scotland only affair? So far we have one Glasgow team, Two Edinburgh teams and a lot of unteamed people.
